Teaching Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Academy (TOA)

The UTEP Handbook of Operating Procedures 4.24.3.6 (HoOP) requires instructors to complete the Teaching Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Academy (TOA) prior to teaching a fully online course. This asynchronous course is completely online and follows a weekly schedule. The TOA focuses on the delivery of online course content, the uniqueness of online pedagogy, and online teaching methods. The true learning takes place in discussions with fellow faculty members, as well as the construction of an online syllabus and course calendar. Upon completion, participants will earn a TOA certificate and a UTEP Microcredential Badge to display one’s knowledge and skills. |

Self-Paced Artificial Intelligence Design Academy (AIDA)

The Artificial Intelligence Design Academy (AIDA) is tailored to equip faculty and staff with the knowledge and skills to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into syllabi, course design, and assessment. Participants will learn how AI tools can leverage student engagement, address ethical implications, and impact student success. The academy is delivered 100% online, is self-paced, and located in Blackboard. Upon completion, participants will earn an AIDA certificate and a UTEP Microcredential Badge to display one’s knowledge and skills. |
Self-Paced HyFlex Academy (HFA)

The Self-Paced Hyflex Academy (HFA) focuses on course design, technology, and methodology necessary for Hyflex course delivery. Hyflex courses combine the reach and flexibility of online course delivery with the rigor of F2F instruction. Instructors will be familiarized with the technology UTEP provides to support Hyflex and provided with the tools necessary to design their own Hyflex courses. Upon completion, participants will earn a HFA certificate and a UTEP Microcredential Badge to display one’s knowledge and skills. |
