The organizational and corporate communication program prepares students for careers in media relations or public relations. UTEP's location along the U.S.-Mexico border gives students firsthand experience in the multicultural aspects of communication. Alumni of the program have found work at premier New York City ad agencies and companies such as Tenet Healthcare.

A Disney internship enhanced her academic journey. Today, she uses her skills as a coordinator for leadership, inclusion and advocacy in UTEP’s Student Engagement and Leadership Center.
